“…the cubic concrete architecture of the City Hall is enhanced by an evolving work that invites viewers to explore, according to the seasons and from a bird’s-eye view, the richness of the Laval territory.”
Panorama aérien was created from images of Île Jésus (Laval) filmed from a helicopter across the four seasons. The coastline appears as a winding line, making palpable the tension between nature/culture and development/preservation. The work thus emphasizes its insular nature, as well as the diversity of landscapes that coexist there. With its slow pace, it invites contemplation and journey.
