Synthone

“That’s the hole Montreal came out of: Central Station, Sainte-Justine Hospital, the Saint Lawrence Seaway, Place Ville-Marie, and the Desjardins Complex. That’s our concrete.”

— A citizen speaking about the Miron Quarry

perte de signal presents SYNTHONE, a project offering sound performances in Frédéric-Back Park, in collaboration with TOHU. As part of this collective project, I invited the public to take part in an immersive sound walk through this unique space. Designed as an experience blending art and attentive listening, this journey invites participants to rediscover the park through its natural and urban soundscapes – the rustling of leaves, birdsong, distant city echoes, the whisper of the wind, and even the sound of our footsteps.

About Frédéric-Back Park:
“Located at the heart of the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex, Frédéric-Back Park represents the bold transformation of a former limestone quarry later used as a landfill for residual materials.”
