“Village of Ólafsfjörður in Iceland at the summer solstice. An experience of extended time. The flow of days without night.”
In Iceland, the landscapes are shaped by various geological phenomena: earthquakes and volcanoes, the meeting of the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, and more. These unique landscapes trace the slow evolution of the planet, reminding us of the brevity of human life. In this time-lapse animation video filmed during the summer solstice, I explore different temporalities: human activities, the movement of clouds, and the stillness of the mountains.
