Helsinki (Finlande) and Montréal (Québec). Soundtrack made up of a woman reading a list of street names in Finnish and another woman trying to repeat them correctly. In this video installation, I explore the feeling of vertigo and the sense of having lost all one’s bearings when thrust into a new environment, a new culture and a new language. This slow litany draws the viewer into an imaginary and contemplative journey.
